Belt weigher is an automatic weighing device for continuous weighing of bulk materials on the conveyor belt. Its working principle is as follows:

The weighing bridge of electronic belt scale is installed on the conveying frame. When the materials pass by, the measuring roller detects that the weight of the materials on the belt conveyor acts on the weighing sensor through the lever, and generates a voltage signal proportional to the belt load. There is a load cell installed on the weighing bridge on the belt scale. When working, the material weight detected on the belt is sent to the weighing instrument. The weighing instrument receives signals from the weighing sensor and the speed sensor, obtains a instantaneous flow value and the accumulated weight value through the integral operation, and displays them respectively.

The commonly used weighing sensors of belt scale are S-type tension and pressure sensor, parallel beam sensor, cantilever beam sensor, bellows sensor, etc,

Precautions for installation of load cell of belt scale:

Generally, the series of weighing instruments are equipped with 2-4 weighing sensors, and the installation shall meet the following requirements:

1. When two sensors are used for measurement, the load-bearing points of the two sensors shall be in the same horizontal plane, and the connecting line of the load-bearing points shall be parallel to the axis of the drum.

2. When a single sensor is used to measure the two sensors in suspension mode, the sensor shall be on the center line of the scale body and installed vertically.

3. When more than two sensors are used for metering, in addition to meeting the above requirements, all the weighing points of the metering sensors shall be in the same plane, and the plane shall be parallel to the feeding plane of the scale body.

4. The measuring range of the measuring sensor shall be greater than 120% of the weight of the material in the measuring section under the flow rate. When multiple sensors are used at the same time, the measuring range of a single sensor shall be the same and the performance index shall be the same.

5. When the measuring sensor is of radial bearing type (such as pull type, pressure type, column type, spoke type, bridge type, etc.), it shall be ensured that the longitudinal axis and horizontal plane of the sensor are vertical after installation and in use, and only bear the vertical load of the belt scale.

6. When the measuring sensor is shear bearing type (such as cantilever beam type, box type, etc.), the bearing surface of the sensor shall be parallel to the horizontal surface without inclination after installation and during use, and only bear the vertical load of the belt scale.

7. The sensor shall be installed with high-strength bolts and shall be installed firmly without creepage.
